People | Robert Ennis
Robert (Bob) Ennis is a seasoned media and marketing investment banker. He brings 18 years of experience serving the technology, media, and marketing sectors, having worked with a number of prominent M&A and corporate finance clients. Bob focuses on Digital Media, Interactive Advertising, Marketing Automation, and Consumer Internet.
Before joining Drake Star, Bob was a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Technology•Media•Telecom Group based in the firm’s New York office.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Bob was a Managing Director at MESA, a merchant bank and advisory firm that specialized in digital media and interactive marketing. Prior to MESA, he was a Managing Director at Petsky Prunier, LLC, where he was active in the firm’s M&A advisory and private placement practices. His M&A clients have included Alloy, Inc. (nka Defy Media), Tree.com, Red Aril, Oversee.net, SkyMall, YP, Escalate, Healthline Networks, Viant and Demand Media, and he has completed financings for clients including SpotXchange, BrightTag (nka Signal) and Q1Media.
Previously, Bob was a Vice President of IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IACI), where he held positions in Strategic Planning and M&A and was actively involved in over $6 billion of public and private acquisitions across a range of e-commerce verticals, focusing in particular on online travel, financial services, and real estate. In addition, Mr. Ennis was Vice President of the News Corporation Limited (NYSE: NWS), where he was instrumental in the company’s international corporate development initiatives in sectors including radio and television broadcasting, thematic cable channels, satellite DTH, and out-of-home advertising.
Bob holds a B.S. in Industrial Relations from Cornell University and an M.P.A. in Economics from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
