PARIS | May 18th, 2017 - Technology, Media and Communications (TMC) global investment bank Drake Star Partners announced that Nicolas Depardieu has been promoted to Principal at the firm’s Paris office.
Mr. Depardieu has over 12 years of corporate finance and entrepreneurial experience, with a distinct focus on telecoms, technology, and emerging markets.
Mr. Depardieu has participated in many strategic and financing transactions in TMC over the past three years since joining Drake Star Partners. He has notably successfully advised Orange on its sale of FIME (France) to Chequers Capital (France), Blue-Infinity (Switzerland) on its sale to Dentsu Aegis Network (United Kingdom), and on the sale of ReviewPro (Spain) to Shiji (China). Mr. Depardieu also worked on fundraisings and capital restructuring in the e-commerce and IT Services sectors.
Prior to joining Drake Star Partners, Mr. Depardieu worked as a Strategic Advisor for Origins Capital Partners, an investment fund focused on supporting Eastern African companies sustainable growth outside of their domestic markets. He started his career at DC Advisory in Paris where he worked on B2B services, advanced manufacturing, and F&B buy-side & sale side mandates before founding zegreenweb.com, an online media dedicated to sustainable development issues.
Mr. Depardieu graduated from EM Lyon Business School and holds a Master’s degree in cellular biology from Université Paris - Diderot.
