Mohit, based in Drake Star’s Los Angeles office, is a CFA Charterholder, a specialist in M&A in the Digital Media and Fintech sectors, and has become a leading authority in the Sports Tech and Gaming verticals.
Since joining Drake Star in 2015, Mohit has been a core component of the senior banking team that has completed more than a dozen deals in Sports Tech and Gaming and was promoted to Principal in 2022. Most recently, he advised on Xsolla’s strategic acquisition of cloud-based streaming studio Lightstream, Azur Games’ acquisition of the large portfolio of hyper-casual mobile games from top U.S. publisher Tastypill, Sound United-owned Denon’s acquisition of Melbourne, Australia-based Nura, the maker of self-learning headphones, and was awarded in the category USA Digital Media & Marketing Deal of the Year in the 2023 M&A Atlas Awards for advising on the Spiketrap acquisition by Reddit. Mohit is also lead author of the Drake Star quarterly Global Sports Tech and co-author of the quarterly Global Gaming Report, and is regularly asked to share his analysis and comment on market developments in major media outlets and high-profile industry events.
