Exclusive Financial Advisor to Pacvue
NEW YORK | October 26th, 2021 – Pacvue, an enterprise-grade marketplace advertising, sales, and intelligence platform, announced that it was acquired by Assembly, the leading e-commerce software and data platform. The acquisition enables Assembly to accelerate product innovation, commercialize industry-first capabilities, and solidify its position as the only multi-channel e-commerce software platform serving everyone from SMBs to enterprises.
Drake Star Partners acted as exclusive financial advisor to Pacvue on the transaction.
Pacvue combines unified retail analytics with the tools needed to take recommended actions to help brands and sellers grow their business across Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, and other marketplaces. Pacvue is utilized by some of world’s most recognized companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Bissell, Henkel, and Duracell.
ZhaoHui Tang, CEO and Co-Founder at Pacvue, stated “the Drake Star team ran a bespoke process that allowed us to get to know potential investors and acquirers over time. Our top priority was finding the right partner, and Drake Star introduced us to the largest software-focused financial and strategic investors in the world, which ultimately led us to Assembly. We couldn’t be happier with the process and outcome Drake Star delivered.”
Melissa Burdick, President and Co-Founder, added “I have been impressed with Juan’s knowledge of the e-commerce space, players, and trends since I first met him several years ago. He understood Pacvue’s position in the ecosystem before we were even “on the map” and when the time came, he knew exactly how to market our business to potential investors, which allowed our management team to continue focusing on the business, not the process.”
“ZhaoHui and Melissa make a terrific team by combining his deep technology and advertising expertise with her unrivaled marketing prowess and relationships,” commented Juan Mejia, Partner at Drake Star. “We are excited to witness their next phase of growth under the Assembly umbrella as they jointly disrupt the ever-evolving market for e-commerce software and data solutions.”
For Drake Star, the sale of Pacvue represents yet another Retail Tech transaction within the “CPG Tech” sub-sector, an area that continues to see heightened consolidation activity as CPG manufacturers turn to technology providers that can address their e-commerce and direct-to-consumer marketing, advertising, sales and supply chain needs with holistic solutions.
